Fox Glen Pool
Rules & Regulations:
Rules Subject to Change at Anytime
- Only Fox Glen residents and authorized guests can use the Fox Glen pool.
- Only HOMEOWNERS current in the HOA dues are eligible to receive keys and have use of the pool. If the key is lost or damaged, please contact the managing agent. A fee of $25.00 will be charged for a replacement key.
- Please keep the gate CLOSED. We encourage you NOT to open the gate for anyone outside of your family who doesn’t have a key. Please ask your children while at the pool to do the same.
- All residents must have a Fox Glen ID or a North Carolina ID with photo with Fox Glen Address to use the pool.
- All children 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult 18 or older, with a Fox Glen ID or North Carolina ID with photo and Fox Glen Address, while in the pool area. The only exception is for 14 year olds whose parents have signed and filed special permission slips with the pool committee and have obtained a Fox Glen pool ID. Permission slips may be acquired by contacting the board.
- Number of allowed guests:
- For residents that are 18 years of age or older and not a home owner, 2 guests are allowed.
- For home owners, there is a limit of 6 guests unless a party is scheduled with the board or pool committee as stated in # 32.
- No one under age 18 will be allowed at the pool after dark without a Fox Glen Home owner or Authorized tenant with proper ID. No one under the age of 18 will be permitted in the pool area during ADULT ONLY swim times.
- Babysitters must be 18 years of age or older, employed by a homeowner, and should be given a written permission slip stating that they are in representation of the Home Owner. A form must be filled out by the homeowner and submitted to the Pool Committee prior to the sitter's use of the pool. Contact the managing agent if a form is needed
- Extended-stay guests:
- A relative 15 or older staying with a resident will be allowed to use the pool without adult supervision provided the homeowner has contacted the board and filled out a permission form which must be signed by a board member and carried with the guest when at the pool, along with a valid ID.
- Non-adult, non-swimmers shall not be permitted to use the swimming pool unless accompanied by an adult who will keep constant watch on and be responsible for the non-swimmer, especially toddlers, even in flotation devices.
- Running, rough, or boisterous conduct will not be tolerated. Persons violating this rule will be ejected from the pool area. Any specific complaints about this matter can be submitted in WRITING to the Pool Committee.
- Music should be played at a volume only you or your party can hear and doesn’t infringe upon the rights of other people to have a peaceful time at the pool. Please be respectful of requests of others to lower the volume.
- Admission shall be refused to anyone with a skin abrasion, cold, inflamed eyes, infection, or who is wearing bandages.
- Disposable diapers are not allowed in the pool! Cloth diapers, when covered by plastic pants, or diapers specifically designed for pool use, are permitted. Parents please pay special attention to this pool rule. The Mecklenburg County Health Department advises that should a "Diaper Accident" occur, the pool would be closed a minimum of six (6) hours for cleaning, chlorination, etc.
- No glass containers of any kind are allowed in the pool area. Any report of broken glass will result in the pool being closed for draining, cleaning and then refilling which could result in days or week(s) depending on the weather.
- Food is permitted but must be cleaned up adequately.
- Smokers, please dispose of cigarette butts properly. Do not throw them on the ground or in the bushes.
- Do not eat, drink or smoke while IN the pool.
- No pets are allowed in the pool area or tied to the pool fence.
- All swimmers must shower before entering the pool. Parents should remind their children to use the lavatory before entering the pool.
- Only bathing suits will be permitted in the pool. Bermuda shorts, jeans, cut-off pants, etc. Are not allowed.
- The cost incurred from any property damage due to negligence or abuse by a home owner, resident and/or tenant will be charged to the responsible homeowner.
- Homeowners and guests agree to save harmless the Association from any and all liabilities and actions whatsoever by any homeowner or guest created by the use of the swimming pool area, except where such loss, injury or damage can be clearly proved to have resulted from and been proximately caused by the direct negligence of the Association, Pool Committee, care and maintenance of the premises or any portion of our facility upon the property which the premises are a part. All guests of homeowners swim at their own risk and do hold harmless Fox Glen HOA.
- The Fox Glen Homeowners Association will not be responsible for loss or damage to personal property.
- No abusive or objectionable language will be permitted on Association property. Please remember what is not offensive to you, may be offensive to others and children around you.
- Skates, skateboards, wheelies, and bicycles will not be allowed in the pool area at any time! They should be parked at the designated area in the parking lot.
- No unauthorized person will be allowed near the filter room at any time. Under no circumstances are the drain lids to be removed from the bottom of the pool. No person is to play with the cleaning equipment, life ring or other apparatus. Pool furniture may not be removed from the pool area at any time.
- Table umbrellas should be lowered upon leaving the pool area.
- Alcoholic beverages are allowed in the pool area by responsible adults 21 years of age and older. Excessive consumption of alcohol is prohibited. Drunk or disorderly persons will be ejected.
- Please be sure to use a towel on the lounge chairs. Suntan lotion stains and ruins our chairs.
- Please help keep the bathrooms clean. Turn off water and lights when not in use.
- Space at the pool, along with two tables, and/or grill, can be reserved for a personal function for a fee of $25.00. Parties are limited to no more than 20 total persons and must be arranged by a home owner.
- Violations of rules will result in:
- 1st offense -1 Week suspension.
- 2nd offense in a season -1 Month suspension.
- 3rd offense in a season – season long suspension.
- Please register any complaints by e-mailing board members (via Foxglennc.com).
- No loitering in the Pool Parking lot, Pool property or Playground area.
- Pool parking lot is for pool and playground use only.
- Fox Glen home owners, residents and property manger have the right to halt any activity in the pool, parking lot, and/or playground area that infringes on other’s right to peaceful use of the pool area.

***A home owner is anyone listed on the deed of a Fox Glen address or an authorized tenant or the spouse there of.

ID Checks will be made. If you are a resident and do not have an ID, you, and your guests will be asked to leave!! Please be sure to have an ID. The board reserves the right to close the pool at any time.
